In the 1990s, Berlin became a hotspot for the art scene and a place for free thought. In the middle of it all: Peter Plate from Goslar and Anna R. from East Berlin, who were taking their first musical steps with Rosenstolz.
The band's first single flopped, and Rosenstolz kept himself afloat with side jobs. They only slowly found their fan base through small tours. Rosenstolz was considered an insider tip.
New songs, new albums, chart positions, tours – Rosenstolz is doing it all. Peter Plate and Ulf Sommer live for the band and marry in grand style. But then a terrible tragedy occurs.
A concert turns into a disaster. Peter Plate experiences a panic attack and only survives the Hamburg performance with a shot. Afterward, the stage is off-limits, and everything is canceled. Things go quiet around the band, very quiet.
